We're Finding Lots of Applications
for Foam Insulation in Commercial Buildings
The Icynene Insulation System®
is not just a residential product.
Creative architects and builders are finding numerous uses for foam in
commercial applications like the ones shown in the following photographs:

As heating and air
conditioning costs continue to rise,
The Icynene Insulation System®
makes more "cents" than ever in commercial buildings.

Sprayed Foam is The Way to Insulate Metal Stud
Buildings.
Foam is a solution for insulating metal studs in
both commercial and residential applications. The "C" channel of
a metal stud is virtually impossible to insulate effectively with a fiberglass
batt. Foam expands into and around a metal stud to insulate the wall
thoroughly. And since the foam adheres to the metal studs, your insulation
won't leave voids or fall out of the wall as so often occurs with batts.
And sprayed foam insulation has another benefit, as well. It helps to
control sound in metal framed buildings. So, if you are building a
commercial building and need both exceptional hot & cold insulation, and
need some help with sound conditioning the building, as well, we suggest
that the solution for these problems is achieved with one product...The Icynene
Insulation System®.

Warmer, quieter metal
framing is possible with sprayed foam.
Without all the gaps and voids of typical insulation.

Foamed Warehouse Ceilings Are Very Efficient, Indeed.
We were called in to fix this existing warehouse
(see photo below) by the owner. He told us that the building was not air
conditioned and the summer heat inside the building was so intense that his
employees were complaining. We sprayed about 4" of foam to the bottom
side of the corrugated ceiling and solved the problem.
We have also done numerous metal buildings used as
workshops and manufacturing facilities. In every case the owners of the
building have praised the effectiveness of the sprayed foam. One day we
went by to take pictures of a building we had sprayed a few days before.
The owner said, "I have a bone to pick with you!" He
pointed up to the furnace near the ceiling, "Your men broke my
furnace. Before you came here to foam this building the furnace ran just
fine...in fact it ran all the time. Now it doesn't come on
anymore." Well, that's the way we like to fix buildings (and
furnaces). If you've got furnaces that come on too often, maybe you should
foam your metal building, as well.

A foam application (like the
one shown above)
helps to reduce summer heat in a warehouse ceiling.

Too Much Heat In The Show Barns? Not Anymore.
We were called to insulate the corrugated ceiling of this horse
barn near Middleburg, Virginia. It seems that the summer heat in the barns
was so intense that the training program for the horses was being affected. We can attest to the
heat. We installed the foam in this barn in August in 90+ degree heat. When we were finished, it was still 90 degrees outside, but it
sure felt better in the show ring. The building manager said he thought
the foam took 12-15 degrees of heat out of the building. And the horses seemed
happier. But then, since none of us was fluent in "horse" we
just think that's what they were trying to tell us.

Even open air buildings like
this horse barn
will benefit from an application of Icynene®
foam.

In summary, we like The Icynene Insulation System®
in commercial buildings because you
achieve the following benefits...
